Psalm 139:16
“And in Your book were all written the days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was not one of them.”
If I could sit down with you over a nice cup of coffee…or hot chocolate…or a bag of chocolate for that matter, I would love to ask you, what is it you are passionate about? What lights a fire in your soul and makes your heart beat just a touch faster? Are you living your best life? Do you know your purpose and are you maximizing your potential?
For me, honestly, it is asking people questions such as these and listening to their answers that thrills my soul. I love to consider how God has uniquely wired each of us and how we can each put our gifts and talents to use for His glory.
Irenaeus, a 2nd Century Bishop is credited as having said, “The glory of God is man fully alive.” It has also been said that our talents, abilities, and opportunities are God’s gift to us, what we do with these are our gift to God.
So let me ask, are you living a life that is fully alive? Are you making full use of the talents, abilities, and opportunities God has given you for His glory? Perhaps its time to stop thinking small and start dreaming, praying, believing and trusting God to do bigger things in and through us. Let’s stop living good, comfortable lives and start living God’s best for our lives.
Psalm 139 is a beautiful passage that explains how intimately God knows each of us. Verse 16 says “And in Your book were all written the days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was not one of them.”
From this passage we can understand that God created each of us uniquely, He designed everything about us for a reason, and He placed us on earth at a specific time so we can accomplish all He has planned for us.
If you are just going through the motions of life, take some time today and ask God what His specific plan is for your life and how you can maximize the potential He has created within you.
Consider asking God questions such as:
What specifically have You created me to do?
How can I best use the talents and abilities You have given me?
Are there areas in my life where I have settled for a good life in place of Your best for my life?
How do You want to use my life for Your glory?
Only God can answer questions such as these. Only He knows the limits of our potential, so why not be intentional and ask Him?
Go ahead, don’t wait another day. Ask God these questions and expect Him to answer. When He does, boldly take a step of faith towards your best life!
Thanks for continuing to use your gifts and talents to bless others!
